The damage to some of our @dallasschools, including iconic ones like this elementary school that I grew up seeing almost every day, was hard to witness yesterday. @CityOfDallas is a resilient city, however, and we will work together to rebuild what we’ve lost. I guarantee it.💪🏾

I spent all day yesterday surveying damage from Sunday’s tornado. This is what’s left of the gym at ⁦@SMTXathletics⁩. The physical damage across North Dallas is heartbreaking but it is a testament to our storm warning system that not a single life was lost. We will rebuild!

We also saw people coming together — neighbors helping neighbors, volunteers helping those affected, and business owners working together.

Spent the day with @VoteOmarNarvaez, @cmjsgates, and @LeeforDallas as we toured areas hit by last night’s EF-3 tornado. Photos do not fully capture the magnitude of the destruction. Grateful we have no known fatalities or serious injuries.

I am touched that @SMU is showing its support for the residents of the @CityOfDallas who were affected by yesterday’s tornado by wearing their “Dallas” jerseys in the @SMU_Football 🆚 @UHCougarFB game on Thursday. Dallas is a resilient city and we will come back better than ever!

A significant tornado hit @CityOfDallas last night. But we were incredibly fortunate, considering the path of the storm, that we have no reported fatalities or serious injuries at this time.

#NEW @DallasMayor says the city’s first responders and staff did an amazing job making sure people were safe. He says @CityOfDallas is “a strong city, a resilient city, and we’ll get through this.” @CBSDFW
